André Heurtaux (1898 - 1983)

André Heurtaux’s earliest confirmed exhibition took place at Kunstmarkt 68 in the Kunsthalle Köln, Cologne, in 1968, while his most recent was Tributes at Galerie Lahumière, Paris, in 2024. Heurtaux has been shown most frequently in Germany, with additional exhibitions in France, Slovakia, and other countries. Over the past 56 years, his record includes at least one solo exhibition and 18 group exhibitions. He has participated in at least four art fairs, though no biennials. Among his significant exhibitions was Trends in Geometric Abstract Art at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in 1986. Other important venues include the Espace de l’Art Concret in Mouans-Sartoux and Museum Würth in Künzelsau. Heurtaux has exhibited alongside notable artists such as Jean Gorin and Josef Albers, and his works are held in at least five museum collections, including the Museum Würth (Künzelsau) and the Musée d’Art Moderne et Contemporain (MAMCS) in Strasbourg.
